2012 Special Education Leaders' Conference - 'Partnerships - The Next Generation'

This year the NSW Leaders’ Conference, hosted by the NSW SSP Principals Network, will be held on Wednesday, 6th - Friday, 8th June, 2012 at The Sebel, Parramatta, NSW.

Research clearly demonstrates that developing effective partnerships will assist school communities to improve the learning outcomes of their students.

Effective partnerships are based on mutual trust and respect. This conference will focus on the shared responsibility for the challenges and opportunities for education in the next generation.

The conference will begin with a day dedicated to the professional learning needs of teachers. Upon successful registration of the conference with the NSW Institute of Teachers, delegates who are registered will be able to include the hours of approved professional learning.

The program continues to be developed with a call for papers ensuring a variety of relevant workshop topics using the themes of National Partnerships for Students with Disabilities: Curriculum, Communication and Behaviour; Transition; Complex Cases; Technology; Parent and Community Engagement.

We invite you to join Mission 2012 in its exploration of the infinite possibilities for creating and sustaining partnerships into the next generation.

On behalf of the organising committee, we look forward to seeing you at the 2012 Special Education Conference
