Invitation to Attend
On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, we would like to invite you to join us for the 2011 Stormwater NSW Conference. The Conference will be held at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley, from the 5th - 9th September, 2011 and will feature two days of Pre Conference Workshops, two days of Conference Presentations and a Technical Tour on the final day of the event.
The 2011 Conference is the first NSW “local” conference since 2006. The Conference title “Stormwater: Addressing Local Issues” reflects the desire to address the needs of local practitioners.
The Conference will include a series of keynote speakers, supported by presentations on key water issues facing stormwater practitioners. It is our aim to include within the conference, technical sessions and themed streams to engage and build the knowledge and skills of attendees. The Conference Program will be designed to feature a mixture of papers including research, experience or case studies of projects undertaken, especially those that add to the knowledge, understanding and practical application of stormwater in NSW, and the NSW Stormwater Industry. In 2011 the program will include a combination of 20 minute and 40 minute concurrent presentations.
The Conference will provide an outstanding opportunity to network with colleagues and peers, attracting delegates from the private sector, government and universities, including engineers, scientists, landscape architects, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, educators, researchers and other industry professionals.
The 2011 Conference venue is located at the heart of the premier wine region of NSW, with over 120 cellar doors in close proximity. The wine is complemented by exceptional cheese and food experiences, and is home to the NSW Regional Restaurant of the Year. The Hunter is also home to the Yengo and Werakata National Parks and the Brokenback Mountain Range.
The Conference Organising Committee, Sponsors and Trade Exhibitors look forward to seeing you in September 2011 at the Hunter Valley.
