Shirley Gooch HeadshotShirley Gooch

 

Shirley A. Gooch, R.N., Ph.D., is a Training and Supervising analyst at the Psychoanalytic Center of California. She is past Dean of the P.C.C., Chair of the Infant Child and Adolescent Committee, and is a Senior Infant Observation instructor. For many years she supervised and taught at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center, the Wright Institute, and the Maple Counseling Center. Currently she works with adults, adolescents, and children in private practice in Beverly Hills, CA.

 

 

Jeffrey Eaton HeadshotJeffrey Eaton

 

Jeffrey Eaton, M.A., is a graduate of the Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association. He is in private practice providing psychoanalysis and psychotherapy to children and adults. He speaks, teaches, and consults internationally.


Jeffrey is winner of the 10th International Frances Tustin Memorial Lecture Prize for his paper "The Permanent Earthquake: Notes on the Treatment of a Young Boy" forthcoming in Francis Tustin Today, to be published by the Library of Psychoanalysis. His first book A Fruitful Harvest: Essays after Bion is published (May 2011) by The Alliance Press, Seattle.


Eaton co-founded of The Alliance Community Psychotherapy Clinic where he served as Chair of the Steering Committee and on the board of the NW Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study from 1996-2008. His special interest is the treatment of autistic states and he is a founding member of INSPIRA, the International Seminar on Psychoanalytic Intervention and Research into Autism.

 

 

Annie Reiner HeadshotAnnie Reiner

 

Annie Reiner, Ph.D., Psy.D., L.C.S.W., is a member and senior faculty member of The Psychoanalytic Center of California (PCC) in Los Angeles, and a fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). Her work was greatly influenced by the ideas of Wilfred Bion, with whom she studied briefly in the 1970's.

 

Her psychoanalytic articles have been published in many journals and anthologies and she has written two books, The Quest for Conscience & The Birth of the Mind (Karnac 2009), and the upcoming Bion & Being: Passion and the Creative Mind (Karnac 2012). In addition to her work as a psychoanalyst, Dr. Reiner is an accomplished poet, playwright and painter, the author of four books of poems, a book of short stories, and four childrens books which she also illustrated. She maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills, California.

 

 

Kathleen FargioneKathleen Fargione

 

Kathleen Fargione, LICSW is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She earned a MSW from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1998. She worked in a day treatment setting for mentally ill adolescents for nine years and currently has a private practice seeing adults, couples and adolescents. She has taught a graduate social work course, Clinical Practice with Children, as an adjunct professorat the University of St. Thomas since 2005.

 

Recently she has begun teaching at the Minnesota Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She is a member of American Association of Psychoanalysis and Clinical Social Work as well as The National Association of Social Workers, Minnesota Society for Clinical Social Work and The Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, Chapter 39. 

 

 

Jeanne Magagna HeadshotJeanne Magagna

 

Dr. Jeanne Magagna, formerly a teacher of all age groups and also  Head of Psychotherapy Services  at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children for 24 years. She currently  works as a Consultant Psychotherapist in Ellern Mede Centre for Eating Disorders in London.

She completed  trainings at the Tavistock Clinic as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist (Phd level), Family Therapist and Adult Psychotherapist.

 

Jeanne  is the vice-president and joint coordinator of training for  the Centro Studi Martha Harris Tavistock model child psychotherapy trainings in Florence and Venice and works at Family Futures Adoption and Fostering Consortium.  She  has  edited  Universals of Psychoanalysis, and jointly edited Psychotherapy with Families and Intimtate Transformations: Babies with their Families..  About to be published by Karnacs is  her  edited book The Silent Child’s Communication without Words.

 

 

Jacqueline Adler's HeadshotJacqueline Adler

 

Jacqueline Adler is a child and adult psychotherapist in private practice in Melbourne.  She has a background in psychology and social work.  Jacqueline teaches infant observation in both child and adult psychotherapy training programs and has provided supervision and seminars over many years to trainees in child and adult psychotherapy training.  She has authored and taught in distance education and has written and presented papers both published and unpublished.

 

 

Mark Howard HeadshotMark Howard

 

Mark Howard is a psychiatrist and Training psychoanalyst of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society. His clinical areas of interest include teenage onset psychoses. Prior to studying medicine, he trained in the Humanities. His interests include philosophy, art and music; at the 2009 Freud Conference he presented a paper that explored states of mind expressed in contemporary music and the Blues.

 


Ruth Safier HeadshotRuth Safier

 

Ruth Safier is a child and family psychiatrist and training psychoanalyst of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society. She has a special interest in infant observation and parent infant therapy and was the consultant to the Early Intervention Programme of the NSW Benevolent Society for many years.She is in private analytic practice in Sydney and is clinical director of a child and family clinic
