A visioning forum to frame the direction of community education and engagement for local government

How can learning drive sustainability in your community and Council?
How can we deliver more effective engagement and education initiatives?
What organisational structures are critical for delivering sustainability?
What will council learning and community engagement look like in ten years time?

Join with colleagues and leading thinkers in the local government sector to shape the future direction of community education and engagement for sustainability.

The 'Local Government - Creating Sustainable Communities through Learning' Forum is a free one-day event for elected representatives, local government decision-makers and practitioners.

With a mixture of inspiring presentations and small group activities, the forum will create a new agenda for community education and engagement in local government. The results will be distributed to all councils in NSW and will help inform how you plan and deliver education programs to your community and within your organisation.

Bring your expertise and experience, interact with the latest thinking and have a say on what community education and engagement needs to do in the next ten years to deliver sustainability outcomes. The event is open to all local government staff and elected members but places per council are limited.

This forum is part of the 'Enabling Effective Community Education and Engagement as a driver for sustainability in local government' (EECEE) program. The EECEE program is a partnership between 6 NSW Councils (Ku-ring-gai, Coffs Harbour , Bathurst-Orange-Dubbo, Wyong, Mosman and City of Sydney ) and their communities and the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water NSW. The program has been funded by the NSW Environmental Trust through its Urban Sustainability Program.
