Who is organising the Conference?

 

The Australian Association of Special Education (AASE) and the Tasmanian Principals Association (TPA) are the co-convenors of the 2012 AASE/TPA Conference. Further information on AASE and TPA can be obtained by visiting www.aase.edu.au and www.tpa.org.au

 

GEMS Event Management are Professional Conference Organisers who have been engaged to assist in the management of the 2012 AASE/TPA Conference. What are the conference dates?

 

The Conference will be held on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th July, 2012 at The Grand Chancellor Hotel, Horbart, Tasmania. The Welcome Reception will be held on Wednesday 11th July.

Can I share my full Conference registration with another person?

 

Splitting of full conference registrations is not allowed under any circumstances. Delegates who only wish to attend one day of the conference must register as day delegates.

Can I just attend one session on one day of the conference?

 

No. The minimum registration for the conference is a Day Delegate Registration Package which covers one full day's conference attendance. Delegates cannot registration to attend a single session or a half day session.

Can I cancel my registration?

 

All cancellations must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) before the cancellation can be processed. Registrations can be cancelled up to the Conference Cancellation Date of Monday 25th June and will be refunded less an administration fee of $110. Registrations cancelled after the cut off date are fully payable.

 

Cancellations received after the 25th June cannot be accepted and will not be refunded; however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. The full name and address details of the new delegate must be advised in writing to the Conference Organisers prior to the Conference. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the conference.

If I need to cancel my registration after the cancellation date, can another person from my organisation attend in my place?

 

Yes. Such changes must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) by no later than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the Conference.

In the event of industrial disruptions, GEMS Pty Limited cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred by delegates. The program is correct at the time of printing, but the organisers reserve the right to alter the programme as is deemed necessary.

 

 

Liability

 

The Australian Association of Special Education (AASE), the Tasmanian Principals Association (TPA) or GEMS Pty Limited shall not be held liable for personal accidents or losses or damage to private property of registered delegates of the Meeting. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.
