Who is organising the conference?

The Australian Association of Special Education (AASE) and the Australian Special Education Principals Association (ASEPA) are the convenors of the 2010 conference. Further information on these associations can be obtained by visiting www.aase.edu.au or www.asepa.org.au

GEMS Event Management are Professional Conference Organisers who have been engaged to assist in the management of 4 previous AASE Conferences. 2010 will mark our 5 th AASE Conference. GEMS are members of Meetings and Events Australia and the Professional Conference Organisers Association. Further information on our company is available at www.gemsevents.com.au

 

Who should attend the Conference?

The AASE/ASEPA 2010 Conference Program has been designed for the following special education practitioners

  • Pre-school, primary, middle and secondary school administrators and teachers
  • Special education consultants and support staff
  • Therapists
  • School counselors and psychologists
  • Service providers
  • Family and community workers
  • State and Federal Government representatives
  • Suppliers to the special education sector

 

What are the conference dates?

The 2010 Conference will be held on the 17th and 18th June, 2010 at the Darwin Convention Centre. The Conference Welcome Reception will be held on the evening of 16th June, 2010.

 

How much does it cost to attend?

Full details of the Early Bird and Post Early Bird delegates fees are available on the “General Information” page of this website.

 

Can I share my full Conference registration with another person?

Splitting of full conference registrations is not allowed under any circumstances. Delegates who only wish to attend one day of the conference must register as day delegates.

 

Can I just attend one session on one day of the conference.

No. The minimum registration for the conference is a Day Delegate Registration Package which covers one full day's conference attendance. Delegates cannot registration to attend a single session or a half day session.

 

Can I cancel my registration?

All cancellations must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) before the cancellation can be processed. Registrations can be cancelled up to the Conference Cancellation Date of Monday, 17th May, 2010 and will be refunded less an administration fee of $110. Registrations cancelled after the cut off date are not refundable.

 

If I need to cancel my registration after the cancellation date, can another person from my organisation attend in my place.

Yes. Such changes must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) by no later than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the conference.

 

Do we have a discount of groups for more than one person?

Group discounts for multiple conference registrations are not available

What is the cost of parking at the venue?
