This year the NSW Leaders' Conference will be held over three days at The Sebel, Parramatta in the heart of Lachlan Macquarie town.
The 2010 Special Education Leaders' Conference aims to support teachers, aspiring leaders and current leaders in their effort to teach and lead with conviction by inspiring them to look towards the future.
The conference will begin with a day dedicated to the professional learning needs of teachers. Upon successful registration of the teacher conference with the NSW Institute of Teachers, teachers who are registered will be able to include the hours of approved professional learning. Sessions on school shopfronts will allow individual schools and units to display innovative programs and provide ideas and contacts for other schools across the state.
The conference will comprise of keynotes and workshops. All workshops will target the Office of Schools priorities of
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Student Retention and Engagement
- Teacher Quality
- Connected Learning
The following two days professional learning will target the professional learning of current and aspiring leaders and will include keynotes and workshops based on the Office of Schools priorities and will also include a leadership strand.
The program continues to be developed with a call for papers ensuring a variety of interesting workshop topics.
