Two Pre Conference Training Courses will be held in conjunction with the conference, on Wednesday 28 April 2010. The cost of attendance at either of these sessions is in addition to the two day Conference Registration Fee. Each participant will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of their session/s.
Presenter Biography:
Grant Witheridge is a Civil Engineer with both Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of NSW. He has some 25 years experience in the fields of hydraulics, creek engineering and erosion and sediment control during which time he has worked for the NSW Public Works Department of the University of NSW, Brisbane City Council and Griffith University. Currently Grant works through his own company Catchments ft Creeks Pty Ltd.
Grant is the principal author of publications such as: 'Fish Passage Requirements for Waterway Crossings' ,' IECA's Best Practice Erosion & Sediment Control' document, and Brisbane City Council's: 'Instream Sediment Control Guidelines', 'Creek Erosion Guidelines', 'Natural Channel Design Guidelines' as well as being involved in the recent revision of the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual.
