GEMS Event Management are Professional Conference Organisers who have been engaged to assist in the management of the 2011 SIA Queensland State Conference. Who should attend the Conference?
The 2011 SIAQ State Conference Program has been designed for the following stormwater professionals:
- All levels of government, with interests in environmental management, planning, construction, education, community services, engineering and research
- Civil and consulting engineers
- Surveyors and urban planners
- Civil construction contractors
- Geo-technical engineers and soil scientists
- Landscape architects and landscape contractors
- Universities and research institutions
- Service industries to the environment, stormwater and the water quality industry
What are the conference dates?
The 2011 Conference will be held on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th May, 2011 at QT Gold Coast (formerly The Gold Coast International Hotel), Surfers Paradise, Queensland. The Conference Welcome Reception will be held on the evening of Wednesday, 25th May, 2011.
How much does it cost to attend?

Can I share my full Conference registration with another person?
Splitting of full conference registrations is not allowed under any circumstances. Delegates who only wish to attend one day of the conference must register as day delegates.
Can I just attend one session on one day of the conference?
No. The minimum registration for the conference is a Day Delegate Registration Package which covers one full day's conference attendance. Delegates cannot registration to attend a single session or a half day session.
Can I cancel my registration?
All cancellations must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) before the cancellation can be processed. Registrations can be cancelled up to the Conference Cancellation Date of Friday, 1st April, 2011 and will be refunded less an administration fee of $110. Registrations cancelled after the cut off date are not refundable.
If I need to cancel my registration after the cancellation date, can another person from my organisation attend in my place?
Yes. Such changes must be advised to GEMS in writing (either by fax or email) by no later than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the conference.
Do we have a discount of groups for more than one person?
Group discounts for multiple conference registrations are not available.
