Invitation to attend the 2011 SIAQ State Conference

On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, we would like to invite you to join us for the two-day Stormwater Industry Association (SIA) of Queensland Conference. The Conference will be held at QT Gold Coast (formerly The Gold Coast International Hotel) on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May 2011 with an optional pre conference Training Day on Wednesday 25 May 2011.

Stormwater management has significantly evolved over the last 20 years since the SIA was established in Queensland. We've come a long way from the traditional solutions in stormwater conveyance to deliver stormwater solutions that address triple bottom line outcomes and incorporate principles of total water cycle management.

Our 2011 Conference theme "Achieving Multiple Outcomes – A Time to Reflect" will encourage reflection on how we as an industry have performed to date, share important advancements in stormwater management and challenge us to find the best way forward from lessons learnt. The Conference will encourage discussion and create debate on the challenges and opportunities for the future of sustainable stormwater management in Australia. Attendance at this conference will enable you to keep abreast of the latest advances in stormwater management and contribute to your continual professional development.

The conference will also provide a great opportunity to network with colleagues and peers, attracting delegates from the private sector, government and universities, including engineers, scientists, landscape architects, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, educators, researchers and other industry professionals.
