Julie McGraw - AMM AFMEA CEM
General Manager

Julie began her professional career in the hospitality industry and has worked for organisations such as Qantas, Southern Cross Hotels and Ritz Carlton. Specialising in the area of group and convention management, she was involved in the organisation of such projects as the International Conference of Iron and Steel and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference in Melbourne in 1981.

With an Executive Certificate in Event Management (with Distinction) from the University of Technology Sydney, is an Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM) and Associate Fellow of Meetings and Events Australia (AFMEA) and is a Certified Event Manager (CEM) with the Professional Conference Organisers Association of Australia, Julie has lectured in hotel management at the William Blue Hotel Management School and Macleay College and has been a presenter at the PCO National Conference in 2008.

Julie has been with GEMS Event Management for 19 years and continues to deliver outstanding results for her clients, excelling in her attention to detail and making her events not only profitable but also memorable.

Tiffany Johnson
Business Development Manager

With 13 years experience managing events for public, private and not-for-profit organisations such as Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Children's Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA) and US broadcaster NBC, Tiffany Johnson specialises in identifying and delivering on the details that make each event special.

A graduate in events management from University of Technology Sydney and Business Management – Hospitality Services at the University of Queensland, Tiffany is a seasoned events professional. Whether it is for community fundraisers, fashion parades or the Sydney 2000 Olympics, having worked with leading sportsmen and celebrities, business professionals or volunteer community groups, Tiffany knows how to maximise the participant experience and add value to each client's events. Tiffany prides herself on her ability to make an event special for her clients.


Michelle Glasson

Event, Sponsorship and Exhibition Manager

Michelle has over 7 years experience in event management. She holds a Bachelor of Human Movement from Southern Cross University with a major in Sport and Event Management and is currently undertaking the process of gaining accreditation as an Accredited Meetings Manager with Meetings and Events Australia.

She began her career in 2002 with International Management Group (IMG), gaining a strong background in sporting and public events, as part of the events team for a number of iconic national events. Michelle joined the GEMS team in October 2005.

Michelle is responsible for the overall conference, sponsorship and trade show management for many of our long term clients including the Australian Association of Special Education, the Behaviour Schools Network and the NSW SSP Principals Network. Michelle is a passionate and experienced event professional and has the ability to create a smooth and successful event, whilst meeting the client's objectives.

 

Deborah Hudnall
Event Coordinator

Deborah has completed a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Event Management at the University Of Wollongong and has a Diploma in Event Management from TAFE. Deborah is a keen and enthusiastic young woman dedicated to the GEMS Event Team.

Confident and professional, Deborah is a quick and forward thinker, friendly, responsible and trust worthy. In her role as Event Coordinator, Deborah is responsible for Registration and Accommodation Management for all of our conferences plus all Membership Management for our clients who we work with as their Secretariat.
